The Ambassador of the United States of America to the United Nations Agencies in Rome, David J. Lane, presented his diplomatic credentials to Stefano De Caro, the Director-General of the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM) at the Centre’s headquarters in Rome on Thursday, August 23, 2012 – thus completing his accreditation with the UN Agencies in Rome.
Ambassador Lane had presented his credentials to the other five U.N. Rome-based agencies during the week of August 6, 2012, when he visited the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the UN World Food Programme (WFP), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), and the International Institute for the Unification of Private Law (UNIDROIT).
David Lane is the seventh U.S. Ambassador to the UN Agencies in Rome. He was sworn in as the U.S. Representative on July 19, 2012 by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
He arrived in Rome on July 21, 2012.
