U.S. Food Assistance Reform Will Enable More Food to Reach Hungry People, April 10, 2013
U.S. President Barack Obama’s 2014 budget proposal, which was announced today, includes reforms to how U.S. food aid is managed that will enable an estimated two to four million more hungry people to be fed every year with the same resources.

"In the course of the IFAD Governing Council in Rome today, the heads of the three Rome-based food and agriculture agencies - IFAD President Kanayo F. Nwanze, FAO Director-General Jose Graziano da Silva and WFP Executive Director Ertharin Cousin - awarded their employees in Mozambique with the first "Award of Excellence: Working Together in the Field." This joint award recognizes the agencies' respective country teams for their exemplary collaboration and partnership in the field. "
